I’m excited to hear about your thoughts on the Branding Photo Session! Here’s an outline of my ideas based on our recent conversation and the images you shared:

  1. Purpose of Images: Since these images will primarily represent you to clients and for social media usage, I want to create a range of striking visuals. This diversity will ensure that you have plenty of options for various social media posts you may want to send out such as announcements, love quotes, and match celebrations over the next year in addition to having photos you can use to show who you are to your clients and use for bio pages and the face of your business.

  2. Brand Aesthetic: I understand that your brand is romantic and clean with a focus on neutral and earthy tones. The images will emphasize simplicity while still being memorable and impactful. I will choose solid backdrops that align with your color palette, ensuring all visuals reflect your branding accurately.

  3. Lighting: I plan to use full soft light throughout the session to maintain a harmonious and cohesive look across all images. This will help to highlight your features while also resonating with the romantic aspect of your brand.

  4. Wardrobe Suggestions:

    • Please bring several wardrobe options that fit within your color palette. Solid colors will generally photograph best, but if you wish to incorporate prints, it’s important they are large—small prints do not photography well.

    • In addition to other styles you may want to photograph in, also focus on flowy and soft pieces that are tailored rather than baggy, aligning with the romantic vibe. This will not only enhance your presence in the photos but also make you feel comfortable and confident.. I am a big proponent of having 3 or more options for our shoot and some accessories to play around with too, like a romantic neck scarf or elegant jackets to add to an outfit.

Don’t pay attention to the colors in this photo, but I love this idea for you to use when you are announcing a marriage, second date, or anything worthy of celebration that you encounter in your business (like the publishing of your book).

The confetti shot is a fantastic way to capture celebratory moments in your business, like celebrating a client's match. I would use confetti that matches your color palette instead of the primary colors shown above, but I just love this idea. We can also incorporate playful images of you opening a champagne bottle, though be mindful of the mess that might follow!

For a creative touch, we could use a pastel pink retro-styled phone which would add a fun visual element to your branding, representing making connections. Additionally, a megaphone serves as an engaging prop for social media announcement posts.

I absolutely loved the soft-colored roses in the images you shared; a small bouquet of soft, light pink and cream roses would beautifully complement your aesthetic throughout the photo shoot. While we'll incorporate a variety of images without props, these thoughtful additions will create a dynamic range for your gallery.

Feel free to share your thoughts on these ideas or let me know if there’s anything you’d like to adjust! Also send me some Pinterest photos you love of headshot and branding sessions to make sure I capture exactly what you want. I’d love to hear any additional ideas you might have, any other simple props you might want to try out that are meaningful to your business, and anything else you are thinking about. I’m here to ensure this session captures the essence of your brand beautifully!
